Fractional Head of Change
Someone has to own the change. It doesn’t have to be a full-time hire.
I join your leadership team one or two days a week and own the people side of whatever you’re changing.
From $6,000 a month · Three month minimum
That means the communication, the alignment, the structures that keep information moving, and the unglamorous follow-through that decides whether any of it sticks. Three months is the floor because less than that is corporate theater.
Schedule a CallMost companies try two other things first.
The first is hiring. It takes six months to find someone, costs well over $150,000 once you count benefits, and assumes you already know exactly what the role needs to be.
The second is bringing in a consultant. That works for a diagnosis or a defined project, but the engagement ends right around the point where change is actually won or lost, which is the twelfth week, when everyone is tired and the new way is still harder than the old way.
This is the option in between. I’m in your leadership meetings and accountable for the outcome, for one or two days a week.
The Work
What I actually do.
The specifics change with the engagement. It’s usually some combination of these.
Sit in your leadership meetings
I'm in the room when decisions get made, which means the people side gets considered before the decision rather than after it.
Own the communication
What gets said, by whom, to whom, and when. Written and sent, not planned and handed off.
Build the structures that keep information moving
Forums, listening routines, feedback loops. Whatever your organization will actually sustain once I'm gone.
Prepare your managers
They're the ones who deliver the change to everyone else. Most of them have never been told how.
Measure whether it worked
Adoption, not attendance. Whether people are doing the thing differently ninety days later.
Make myself unnecessary
The point is that your team can run the next one without me.
How it works.
Price
From $6,000 a month, set by days per week and scope.
Term
Three month minimum.
Schedule
One or two set days a week, clustered rather than scattered across calls.
Where
I'm based outside Philadelphia and work on-site with clients within about an hour of there. Some of this can happen remotely, but people tell you different things in a hallway than they do on a call.
How we start
Usually with a Breakthrough Blueprint, so we both know what we're walking into. That fee credits toward the engagement.
This is for you if:
You have a change underway that nobody owns, or that's owned by someone who already has a full-time job.
You've run a consulting engagement that stalled somewhere after the recommendations.
You're confident the plan is right and you can't work out why it isn't happening.
You'd hire for this if you could find the right person and wait six months.
If you’re still working out whether you need this at all, a Blueprint is the cheaper way to find out.

Why me for this.
I’m currently serving as interim Executive Director of a national trade association, which is the same work under a different title. A leadership seat, a board-approved strategy, and a team of contractors and volunteers responsible for making it happen.
Before any of the consulting, I built a marketing and voice of customer team from scratch and learned the thing this whole practice rests on, which is that nothing moves until the people inside believe it.
I’m Prosci certified, which matters mostly because it means the change plan is an actual methodology rather than my instincts with a deck around them.
Let’s talk about
what you’re trying to change.
A conversation first, to work out whether this is the right shape for what you’re dealing with. If it isn’t, I’ll tell you.
